This two-storey, clifftop new build in Auckland’s North Shore was one of our grandest residential projects yet. With a project timeline spanning over 18 months, and all RUSA staff involved, we managed everything, including all the landscaping.

Inside, solid oak finishing features throughout. The exterior is just as impressive, thanks to the cedar cladding and the bold, highly-defined lines of Roofing Industries’ Eurostyle™ Roll Cap roofing. With custom-made masonry for the pool and high-end finishes inside – including gold tapware – this five-bedroom, four-bathroom family home is impressive wherever you look. The front garden viewing platform is perfect for entertaining and enjoying 180° views of the Hauraki Gulf, this platform even appears to be floating due to its precise construction.

Meeting onsite with our client’s architect, Delamare Architects at least twice a week meant we could accurately realise their plans for a high-end architectural home with an intimate and welcoming feel.

As always, this build wasn’t without its challenges. The house was down a right of way, so we had to manage that dynamic, ensuring our contractors and clients stayed on a good note with the neighbours. Some days we had over 50 people onsite. We stayed in good spirits with words of encouragement and several roof shouts – making the inevitable stressors of a build this size all worth it. Our clients were firm when it came to the quality of finish they wanted, but flexible to ensure details were practical when needed. We were on such good terms with the owners after the build was complete, we even helped them shift in!
