Brilliant on Burnley
RUSA recently completed an extensive renovation and extension of a heritage villa originally built in 1904. This ambitious project involved structural repairs, new foundations, a new roof, updated electrical rewiring, cladding repair, a rear extension, and a complete interior overhaul. The transformation included a new pool and landscaping, turning the house from one of the worst on the street to the best.
The renovation not only preserved the historical integrity of the property but also significantly enhanced its functionality and aesthetic appeal. The house now serves as a stunning entertaining home with a fantastic feel, reflecting impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Architect Daniel Smith did an excellent job with the plans, navigating challenging heritage conditions and resource consent. Despite the challenging site conditions with Sandringham rock, the project was completed on time and within the agreed budget. The clients, who lived in the house throughout the project and COVID lockdowns, found the site to be consistently tidy and well-organised, even with multiple families living there.
The testimonial from the clients highlights the success of the project:
“We chose RUSA Construction for a major renovation of our 1917 heritage villa in Sandringham, and we lived at the property throughout. From the outset, Kent, Nick, Willie, and the team demonstrated outstanding communication and professionalism. The villa renovation is of impeccable quality; we couldn’t be happier with the final result. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding. The renovation has transformed the house and outdoor living area into an incredible space to entertain. We would recommend the team at RUSA Construction to anyone looking for a beautiful, high-quality build by a skilled and professional team.” ~ Hannah Noel + Nigel & Cathie Cottle
